Summer Stock on Saturday and Sunday cuz I am Lazy

Today is on this August 23rd 2009 “Be An Angel Day”

Be an Angel Day encourages us to do acts of kindness, and to help others.”This special day has strong religious roots. Jayne Howard Feldman, the creator of this day, says she was inspired by angels to create this day on August 22. “The objective of this day is to be like an angel, and do something good or kind for someone. It encourages us to be God’s servant in doing good things for others. It is intended to do something nice or kind for someone who is in need of help. The type of angelic help you can offer is not defined or limited. It can be physical, emotional, or spiritual.”Be an Angel Day is for both the giver and the receiver. If you are the receiver, make certain to express openly your appreciation. And, recognize the angel in your life as being sent from God.” retrieved online @ http://beliefnet.com

So who are you going to sneak up on and be an angel for? I think no matter your personal life commitments and/or religious dedication this day can be as claimed above beneficial for both “giver and receiver” I think it can warm two hearts at one time.

On to other warm things…… Ok

Summer Stock hosted by  our million miles across the ocean bloggy friend Robin@ Around the Island

First is a bench I love to sit in when I go to Descanso Gardens it is out of the way plopped down on a hillside of Oaks and Pines and looks at a little waterfall. Beyond that is the lake (not really visible) that is a aviary haven for water and non water fowl alike. This little spot is very challenging for photographers because the light always comes down in one corner of the water fall and so there is a split in exposure but still I love this spot. For Watery Wednesday I will post the waterfall!

Next is a White Coneflower I shot on the same trip last Wednesday

Click to see it full size and Macrofied (he he he made that one up myself!)

So don’t forget to be an angel for someone!
