So much was lost….

When I moved my blog from WP.org (the freebie) to WP.com the blog generator that is used with a personally owned domain it would not let me move hardly any of the post from AGuthrieImages to Moorebloglife. Needless to say I won’t be moving again anytime soon! One of the posts that was lost was a macro of a Woodland Skipper. I found it and decided to throw it up so fellow blogger BK@symphonyoflove could see if this is the same “fearless” little creature. take the link and check out her shot it is pretty amazing she caught it with her cell phone!

  1. I backed up my Blogger sites at WordPress about a year ago (when several Blogger Buddies lost control of their sites) and it seemed like the posts went fine but none of the widgets in the sidebar transferred. That’s when I started Happily Retired Gal to teach myself how WP works. I like some things about WP but (in my humble opinion) it’s much less user friendly than Blogger. Since then I haven’t been able to update the back up of Small Reflections, but I have successfully updated Sacred Ruminations backup. It seems the platforms are not as compatible as they might be. This is a lovely photo ;-)
    Hugs and blessings,

WP.org the free one allows for a higher transfer file size than WP.com for the personally owned domain, make sense? I don’t think so but Oh well, I can add some in now that I know a trick!

Lost how? I had a ton of stuff to be moved, so I just moved it 6 months at a time. I didn’t lose anything I didn’t want to lose — though I can attest to the fact that I am not looking forward to ever doing that again!

I’m just speechless! This shot is awesome. I am pretty sure it is the same insect. Somehow I like the name too. Thank you for enlightening me. :)

BK my pleasure I do need to know where your location is to know what variety of skipper you shot! You did a great job with the cell trust me these little guys don’t like to sit still!

I’m from Singapore. So I was pretty lucky. Either the little fellow was too tired to fly away immediately or it just decided to stay around. It was there for a good 3-5 minutes before taking flight.

Lee this was lost because word press would only let me move a fraction of the blog but I have copies as we all do of our work so I re-posted!
