Thursday 13: My last post…… of 2009? Maybe!

Thursday 13 once homeless now rehoused in it’s new residence on the crossroads of Bloggville lane and Internet place can be found Here please make your list and join us!

2009 was definitely a whopper for me and my family I graduated in March with my B.S. Magna cum Laude, Elayna our oldest graduated from high school in June and then a week later  Mark and I finally got married after 10+ years, but then things got sticky. We lost a home in August to the station fire (but we were not living in it and were not left homeless) then in October my father died (but he made peace with me before I lost him) November Mark was hospitalized with severe Diabetes (thank Heaven we found out Before we lost him) then the end of November my mom got hurt as is now in the hospital.

The point of all this is I know I am so blessed I have my home to live in, my dad and I made up, my husband will join me in 2010 and hopefully into 2030 and my mom is getting the care she needs! Everyone’s situation is different, everyone has a different God to be grateful to (especially for all of us in bloggerville) but my appreciation goes way beyond that, I have had the best support network here on the blogs and my FaceBook family and I just want to say how much I love you all and how blessed I am to have you. I have had support from  people that were suffering their own tragedy at the very same time and I learned that leaning on someone a little is a powerful thing. I reconnected with a stepbrother (during my dads illness/death) after 20 years and now have a whole new family to add to my real life and FaceBook family and I have made some new friends that that I would be devastated to loose.  Because of all the good things that came from tragedy and all the support and love I have real time and online I cannot wait to greet the new year not because it brings change but because it is a continuance of the past year and all its blessings.

So my 13 is what I am looking forward to in 2010

1. Spend more time with Mark cuz I loves him lots.

2. Spend more time with my girls cuz they have way less time to spend (we need to fix that).

3. Get my mom home and get her some live in help so she is more comfortable.

4. Spend time with my friends online.

5. Spend more time writing on my blog not just Meme’s.

6. Work more on my still life photography.

7. Go out with Ebie from the Main Ingredient again it was a blast.

8. Do more local traveling to see new things.

9. Go to China Town with Elayna.

10. Spend time looking at Quilly and Thom pics on Flicker.

11.Actually ADD my pics to my Flicker account (OMG)

12. Find some more grade school friends on FaceBook.

13. Keep in  contact with those in my life online and off!

  2. Wow … lots of ups & downs in 2009. Guess I want to share congratulations and condolences both. My dad used to remind us that what doesn’t kill makes us stronger and I do believe the truth of this quote from Marianne Williamson … “Every situation is perfect the way it is. Every circumstance offers you a lesson that will help you become the person you’re capable of being.” … even when we can’t see it at the time. Thanks for dropping by my Cloudy Skies Mosaic at Small Reflections. I did my 13 Random Reflections for 2009 at Sacred Ruminations this year. Maybe when you and Ebie get together, I could join the two of you? We can’t live too far from one another and it would be fun to really know some ‘virtual’ friends ;-)
    Happy 2010!
    Hugs and blessings,

Amanda — before 2009 I really wasn’t much of a photographer. Amoeba bought me my camera and sent me off to college to learn how to work it and changed all that. Your photos far outshine anything I have ever done!

I left my Happy New Year wishes for your family on your New Year’s post.
